Each projector maker uses a different lamp family, and some need an adapter. A quick map before you order.
Barco DP2K and DP4K projectors use USHIO DXL-xxBA / BAF lamps (and their /L and /LU long-life versions) or OSRAM XBO xxxxW/DHP lamps. Depending on the wattage, Barco specifies an adapter: R858100 for 3 kW–4.2 kW BAF lamps, R8436111K for 4.5 kW–6.5 kW BA lamps, R859984K/R859985K for the 3 kW BA lamp; the 7 kW DXL-70BA and the small lamps need none. The adapter stays in the projector; check yours matches the lamp you are ordering.
Christie CP2000, CP2200 and CP4200 series projectors use Christie's own CDXL lamps (CDXL-30, -45, -60 and the SD/SP/SUP/UP generations) or OSRAM XBO xxxxW/DTP and /DTS lamps. Series 1 CP2000 units take the same 3 kW–6 kW range.
NEC NC2000C, NC2500S, NC3200S and NC3240S projectors use USHIO DXL-xxSN lamps (digital family) or OSRAM XBO xxxxW/HPN lamps. They can also run USHIO UXL film-style lamps (UXL-30SC, -40SC, -50SCA, -60SC, -70SC) with NEC's film-lamp adapter — the standard adapter for NC1600C/NC2000C, and NC-25CL02 for the 3 kW lamp in NC2500S/NC3200S/NC3240S.
Sony SRX-R220, R320, R320S and T420 projectors use the LKRX-2042A 4.2 kW lamp, made by USHIO as DXL-40SRX/LL, or OSRAM XBO 4200W/HPS. These projectors are being retired, but many are still in service and the lamp is a frequent request.
Strong, Christie and Kinoton film consoles, Lycian and Strong follow spots, and sky-beam searchlights use the classic cross-referenced families: OSRAM XBO /H, /HS, /HTP; USHIO UXL; Christie CXL; ORC/ASL XM; Hanovia XH; Philips CSX. Our cross-reference chart maps these against each other.
